I hope so as I said I'd be really surprised if they leave a customer without service for something like a week by 2021. btw I'm assuming that other than that nothing else changed so if by the Saturday evening miro connectivity is restored then we'll see us the Sunday 7 of February of 2021 at 18:00 CET at the well know server for a lineal champion title superfight between current undisputed/undefeated champion Miroslav and current reigning champion and lineal aspirant fau to play hub3aeroq3, ztn3tourney1, pukka3tourney2, hub3tourney1 and pro-q3dm6 as tie-breaker. then please notify me if anyone of you wanna change something from that or confirm if you are ok with that if miro recovers the connectivity by the Saturday evening.

for the rest I also announce now the gtv procedure or simply put, just how to watch this live. ok, so basically, by the final date established for this fight another Quake III Arena compatible server at address 85.10.197.109:34760 will be setup to connect to this fight and then broadcast it. then by the time of the fight that's the server you have to connect to, 85.10.197.109:34760, not that of the fight itself to watch this. please keep that in mind, I repeat it once again, to watch this live you have to connect to 85.10.197.109:34760 which will be the address of another server connected to the final which in turn will broadcast what's going on there to whoever happens to be connected (up-to 50 slots currently could handle more but I guess that's the "default"). additionally once connected to this server once configured (can take some time depending on the circumstances as the thing is very broken) to alternate the view between both players you do it with the /gtv_nextview console command not by clicking the mouse as on a server where you're directly connected. for easiness of use one can simply bind that to any key, ex. /bind v gtv_nextview, and after that pressing v will alternate the view between both players once configured, I repeat, please be patience. needless to say that to watch this you need to have Quake III Arena installed as well as at least the maps that are gonna be played (i.e. one of the "full" packages).

hehe I hope you did not miss this super fight because it was as good as it gets. yes, with final official score of 3:1 miroslav managed to still remain as undisputed/undefeated fpsclasico champion but this time his opponent did not failed to deliver either and once again beat the predictions and pulled a memorable performance. matter of fact, fau biggest (perceived imo) mistake came from the bench, by picking a map he allegedly "hated" just because it looked suspicious his opponent didn't pick it. had he probably picked something different like hektik_b3 or something else and the fight would have probably went five or whoever knows. this was literally a dog fight where both guys went toe to toe almost the whole fight. it all started at hub3aeroq3 with fau taking the lead and dominating most of the game just for miroslav to pull off a tremendous comeback and break the first game on the second half. might look like a minor moment but this fact would later prove decisive for miroslav to end up claiming the victory, had fau took this game and things would have gotten lot more disputed. second map came and despite being a fau pick, unfortunately (for him) he couldn't keep the momentum and overall miroslav fight repertoire/experience proved superior and secured him his second point of the bout. when all seemed set for a quick finish pukka3tourney2 showed and this time, as well as with hub3aeroq3, proved a near "ideal" pick for the aggressive play-style of fau who this time managed to hold his advantage on this game until the end and take home a very well deserved and hard earned point of the super fight. unfortunately (for fau) facing miroslav strongest map at a 2:1 score disadvantage proved too much for him to force a fifth tie-breaker map and miroslav managed to convincingly finish the fight with a solid performance on his second home map where unfortunately for the most part fau couldn't find many chances to press him. so overall as said a epic super fight and very well payed both. ok now as usual the official individual fight results/details are as follows:

ok, so that's it for this fpsclasico lineal champion title superfight, as said I hope you guys didn't miss this out and the gtv thing worked good (I don't even know hehe). for those who did (miss) it as usual as we speak the fpsclasico workstation is working on the in-house vids as usual so I hope that by the night more or less they should be up on the forum. the YouTube vids probably expect them for the Tuesday evening or so (that's really what takes to YouTube to produce those vids). other than that just congratulate again both participants for a great performance and the good sportsmanship and carry on the event without issues and as usual stay tune for further inside fpsclasco tournaments/fights. probably I'm not committing to a particular date but probably may be later in some months, let's say spring/summer, we can make a champions tournament or something like that to spawn a rematch. as usual, we'll see.

gg to fau for very competetive play and sportsmanlike behaviour. as adminless stated first map especially was pretty tense. if there will be another tournament i better get back to practise soon otherwise i will have quite a hard time against fau.

I quite enjoyed watching these games from GTV (thanks for setting it up by the way) and discuss it live with other specs. At some point there were about 8 of us i think.

There were definitely some interesting moments on hub and pukka where the game could have gone either way.

that's good glad to hear the gtv thing worked as I said, I was in-game so I can't personally tell/test but I know from experience that there's usually lots of problems with the gtv servers thus is great if you could finally follow the match, I think it was worth the effort. probably I won't make the gtv recurrent but if it worked just fine I guess I can set it up at least for the "main" events. I mean, once deployed/configured the installment is no "big deal" anymore, it's just changing a couple of parameters (and may be adjust a few things here and there but small stuff).

Miroslav certainly lived up to the hype, well played.
I couldn't focus my mind on timings and strategy at all today, this is why hub/pukka went much better for me than other maps I guess. I went for reckless plays and shots instead so I hope it was fun to watch. I don't think ztn was a bad pick. I don't have patience for it in regular games, but in tournament it's a different matter. Just not today. Wish I had chosen hektik in retrospective

yeah to be honest as I had a quick look at the posted stats now I think that your right (at least according to synthetic game analysis) in saying that you did lot better than what I recall from referring the event live and of what the score tells on ztn3tourney1 as your damage efficiency was even superior on that map (47.29%) that on hub3aeroq3 (46.65%) that was lot more disputed ("gameplay"/score wise). the "deal breaker" apparently was miro's fav home map, hub3tourney1, that he led you close to a 60% (59.10%) of damage efficiency there. anyways, it's what it's, great games indeed and don't worry that it's likely that you will encounter each other again at some point here. as said, likely on some months or so I'll look forward setting up another small fpsclasico cup and you'll both be invited of course.
