Hola, I should be available as well. Btw, IP for master server is still the same or changed as others?

ok, great news then we'll make this fight the Sunday 18:00 CET, I'll pm you both here the password for the fight along today or tomorrow at most. btw have you though what maps you wanna play from the posted map pool? remember that you can't pick the same map twice and that there's the no written/no enforced rule of trying to set matches all on different maps. also the tie-breaker map that came out was qxtourney1, I don't know what are your thoughts about it? may be you both wanna agree one or prefer to take a pro-q3dm13 suggested one for example? let me know. anyways, I'll regard aimer as player "A", so the match map order will be aimer-jutuli-jutuli-aimer-tie-breaker.

as for the ips well, yes and no, yesterday at night I finally made it to move that server from the former south-west low latency route (that I'm decommissioning as we speak) to the main server, so now the former alternative ip for it, 85.10.197.106, has become its main ip and its former main ip, 164.132.54.20, has disappeared. the previous dns names will still function though I just created a new ones more in tune with the rest of the mainstream services so now the server is masters.fpsclasico.de:27965 ([2a01:4f8:a0:5363:85:10:197:106]:27965 / 85.10.197.106:27965) instead. I'll deploy a alternative route for it within some hours I hope, the ipv6 alternative route will be masters.fpsclasico.eu:27965 ([2a03:4000:3f:1f4:5:181:48:249]:27965) and the ipv4 just 5.181.48.249:27965 (no relevant dns by now).

anyways you already have the in-house master server list (check) updated so you can already update your favorites (in reality you just have to get rid of 164.132.54.20 and replace it by 5.181.48.249 not gonna work by now but it should "coming soon", 85.10.197.106 remains).

Small note, i'd love to be able to pick up Furious Heights since it's very popular for duels and it makes great games :)

If that is not possible i'll pick ztn and hub3aero4.
As a decider i'd suggest something a bit more dynamic like pukka3tourney2 but i'm open to alternatives if jutuli has strong preferences :)

not available for Quake III Arena (from other than hacked versions/crazy Russian packages and similar stuff) sorry. the main quake live map form the pool is hektik_b3. beside it, the other similar possibilities would probably be phantq3dm1_rev or bloodcovenant. unfortunately that's all I can suggest. let me know if some of those interest you or wanna change something. if not, ok good, then your picks will be ztn3tourney1 and hub3aeroq3.

ok then let's wait to hear the maps from the jutuli side and if he's also ok with pukka3tourney2 as a tie-breaker, if so, this will just be set for the Sunday then.

Fair enough, hektik would also make for a good tie breaker in my opinion :)

I prefer hektik as a tie-breaker as well, pukka in not very well known map for me. I played hektik a lot, but long time ago, anyway still better than pukka.

Other maps I prefer are hub3tourney1, phantq3dm1_rev and also pro-q3tourney4 and ztn3tourney1. So for some change from the standard and well known maps, the first two from these could be my choice.

ok perfect then we'll make ztn3tourney1, hub3tourney1, phantq3dm1_rev, hub3aeroq3 and hektik_b3 as tie-breaker this Sunday 8 of March at 18:00 CET for a champion belt. all that is left is that I pm you the pass which I'll do later. good luck to both and have fun.

ok right on time. alternative route, masters.fpsclasico.eu:27965 ([2a03:4000:3f:1f4:5:181:48:249]:27965) and 5.181.48.249:27965, added for the masters server yesterday at night and verified/finished now so it should be working as of now. it would be good if you both give it a try before the match to ensure that there's no issues and test the routes which since, as far as I know, none of you run q3 in ipv6 they are just 85.10.197.106:27965 or 5.181.48.249:27965 for you. probably my measurements are that jutuli should do virtually the same on both (hence recommended 85.10.197.106:27965 in that case) and may be aimer could short a few msecs through 5.181.48.249:27965. anyways always worth checking first hand in-game.

for the rest that's it, if there's no issues or anything, see you 18:00 CET at the server.

ok, that's good, thanks for the feedback. yes, that coincides with my server side measurements for you too, 26/27 for 85.10.197.106 and 23/24 for 5.181.48.249 approx or in other words essentially a couple of msecs less trough 5.181.48.249 for you. may not look like much but a couple of msecs over a very low latency of 26/27 msecs is a significant 11.32% ping reduction nevertheless. probably worth using it for you as for the rest looks like there has been already games going this morning without issues so far then I guess that probably everything should be fine. jutuli latency should be around those values too without significant differences beyond "noise" between both routes.

ok, so here are the results of this bout. aimer came on top and managed to defeat jutuli on straight scores, 3-0, however jutuli definitively pulled a strong performance making it hard for aimer to claim this victory despite his bad connection problems. first map was a clear, almost flawless, victory for aimer but the turning point of the match came on second map that was decided just a few seconds before the end. had that map made it to the overtime and we don't really know how this would have ended. map three finally decided the bout in favor of aimer but not before a definitively disputed overtime. overall one of the best matches so far (in terms of competitiveness) and it didn't disappoint as the first match of the tittle format. ok, now the match records are as follow:

ok and that's it for this thread, congrats to aimer on becoming the first fpsclasico masters champion and I'll look forward some time in the future to set up a tittle defense or organize another fights, may be eventually even a re-match of this one, who knows. as we speak I'm producing/uploading the YouTube videos that will go on a dedicated thread, I hope may be in the night they are on-line, if not then tomorrow in the morning and I'll also update the inside rank now in some time.

thank you for participating and pulling a great fight guys, see you

Thanks aimer for the games, I really enjoyed them (excluding hubaero, I am still not able to understand this map ;).
There are seen my bad unfreeze habits ;) Switching to weapons I have not yet taken, rockets for close combat and more. But it was really fun.
