@miro you know that I wouldn't have any problem with you spectating but unfortunately in-game spectators are not allowed at the matches and I hope that you can understand that I can not just go there making exceptions as allowing you now would mean having to (to some extend to be fair) also allow anyone else in the future which I will not. by now, as we're few, I know that it wouldn't be any problem but think that if we were let's say 8 (the typical amount) it would definitively be a issue if everybody wants to spectate the matches or connects/disconnects at random, starts leaking the passwords etc etc it would end up totally trashing the competition so it's better to stop all that from the start and not wait till the things get out of hand. initially I had expected to setup some gtv server for that purpose (a dedicated spectator) but unfortunately as reported before without manual intervention it's also broken so you will have to wait to see the results and demos here, sorry about that and I hope that you can understand this.

ok, and here are the results of this evening match between jutuli and Kra7oS, as expected the match was very balanced with both participants winning their respective maps and having to go for a final tie breaker map that was decided 5-4 in favor of jutuli securing his debuting victory by a score of 3:2 against Kra7oS. as usual I'll make some YouTube videos along the next days (typically 1 or 2 days at most I guess) by now coming to the individual games the results and their corresponding files were as follow:

and that's it with this introduction match. in addition, as you know I already started a rank for these matches here after messing around with a couple of algorithms and making a couple of simulations/tests currently I ended adopting the well know official FiFa rating algorithm just with minor tweaks to make it a bit more responsive and a bit more adequate to the ratings here. overall I believe that it should work adequately (not perfect, it's never going to be perfect anyways, I mean, it's not even perfect in soccer) and it's definitively more manageable that going trough pure chess elo rating systems that are computational harder and probably not even that suited for these samples. I'll update it now after this with the results for this match, the I (importance factor) I assign for this match (casual out of tournament match) will be of 60 (as well as those of the serie b) while tournament matches (serie a or higher) as well as finals will be of 80 and with time will see if I got it right or not, so far it seemed pretty much meaningful. contenders will start with a rating of 2000 which is about the expected average here (it could be said that my estimations are typically 1800-2000 for serie b and 2000-2200 for serie a). and with this we're just ready for the exhibition match initially scheduled for the next Sunday 25 of November 18:00 between the current reigning champion, matacristos, and Miroslav.

see you for now and thanks to all the participants for another event without issues.

@pyron lets play a few pickups some time soon!

@adminless would you mind adding maps to the map pool that are not on the tournament rotation if they are legit duel maps? just so that maps can be used when playing pickups (thinking of dm13, t2, t4)

best regards

mmm I'm not very much in favor of making arrangements to the server "too frequently" (I mean server have barely hosted a couple of matches already not even a single tournament yet), perhaps a couple of times at most per year and overall always just slight adjustments could be fine, but not much besides that. think that making any arrangement it's quite a job, it's definitively not just dropping a map there, for example adding a custom map means dropping the map at the server of course but also extensively test it to ensure both the quality a that it's bug free, add it to the rotation, upload it to the ftp, update the provided package, write about it here, ensure that every single of the participants have downloaded it, ensure that every single of the participants have successfully installed it, offer support for it in case of issues, add it to the clean list of the UnFreeZe servers and probably even more things, not to mention from the point of view of the participants (you, in general) the time that I guess that it takes to really learn a map to compete on it (probably months). so changes must definitively be taken with care, in the particular case you're talking me about now, dm13, tny2/4, it's a bit less aggravating as those are standard maps, however like I said, I don't really see the point on them when we have the newer versions that I believe that it's generally accepted by the vast majority of the people that they are just better on virtually every aspect and that also have been played a lot more on publics for decades already. then yeah anyways, for casual games (I mean just to go there and play for fun) I wouldn't care too much but I think that it's better to stick to the server as how it's going to be played later if not you risk unnecessarily confusing/disappointing people and I believe that we all here agree on that it's not point to have some tny2, pro-tny2, tny2, pro-tny2, tny2 final to put a example.

so, no sorry, I'll take note of your preference for those maps, of course, that always needless to say, but unless there's a very strong consistent request from the community to replace the actual "pro" versions of the maps with their old base versions, I won't.

ok great then it's done finally this Sunday 25 of November 18:00 we'll play pro-q3dm6, hub3aeroq3, ztn3tourney1, pukka3tourney2 and hub3tourney1 as we had agreed and with that we'll close this first edition of this UnFreeZe mini-tournament. I'll pm you here now after write this the password for the match as usual. after this, next week I guess I'll start with another thread here for the Christmas (more or less, can be delayed if so) edition so whoever is interested in participate can go signing up for it, initially I'll count with you four unless something changes. in addition looking at the rank now I'm also thinking that probably it would be a good idea to make some special match in the middle to even out the rank between jutuli and the loser of the miro-mata clash as jutuli was introduced in the middle.

then that's it with this, good luck and have fun :D

ok, so the results for the final exhibition match to finish this UnFreeZe mini-tournament edition between matacristos and miroslav are here. no surprises here, miroslav won unquestionably 3:0 as expected however I must say that unfortunately under these particular conditions I probably underestimated miroslav strength and the match was way more more unbalanced that what I would have wished it to be what unfortunately means that miroslav won't be eligible to participate on future editions beside the final after match against the champion if agreed by both as it's a clear no match. so, let's move to the game details:
  • game 1 - pro-q3dm6 (matacristos selection, miroslav winner)
    42895.9 score: 23 ping: 39 client: 3 ^1M^3ir^7osl^3a^7v
    42895.9 score: -2 ping: 46 client: 1 matacristos
    42898.1 Weapon_Stats: 1 Gauntlet:0:1:0:0 MachineGun:169:47:0:0 Shotgun:121:40:10:5 R.Launcher:67:15:13:4 LightningGun:219:59:11:8 Railgun:8:2:4:2 Plasmagun:89:8:5:1 Given:2339 Recvd:4446 Armor:765 Health:550
    42898.1 Weapon_Stats: 3 Gauntlet:0:1:0:0 MachineGun:29:9:0:0 Shotgun:33:3:3:0 G.Launcher:28:3:3:0 R.Launcher:104:50:18:0 LightningGun:213:64:14:0 Railgun:24:8:4:0 Plasmagun:22:4:2:0 Given:4446 Recvd:2339 Armor:2505 Health:1575
  • game 2 - hub3aeroq3 (miroslav selection, miroslav winner)
    624.6 score: 39 ping: 38 client: 3 ^1M^3ir^7osl^3a^7v
    624.6 score: 3 ping: 44 client: 1 matacristos
    626.9 Weapon_Stats: 1 MachineGun:127:17:0:0 Shotgun:99:26:7:4 G.Launcher:15:2:11:4 R.Launcher:136:35:29:17 LightningGun:576:106:20:8 Railgun:14:0:17:2 Given:3111 Recvd:7032 Armor:900 Health:1055
    626.9 Weapon_Stats: 3 MachineGun:73:17:0:0 Shotgun:22:1:3:0 G.Launcher:5:0:5:0 R.Launcher:193:74:43:3 LightningGun:702:169:18:0 Railgun:38:11:20:0 Given:7032 Recvd:3111 Armor:1900 Health:1830
  • game 3 - ztn3tourney1 (miroslav selection, miroslav winner)
    628.0 score: 21 ping: 38 client: 3 ^1M^3ir^7osl^3a^7v
    628.0 score: 2 ping: 42 client: 1 matacristos

so that's it with this UnFreeZe mini-tournament first edition, thanks to all the participants for take place on it and carrying it out without issues. now, what follows it's like I said I believe it would be interesting to do just some matacristos (in this case) versus jutuli "league" (just a normal ranked match outside the "torunament") match to even out the rank for the next edition (match importance factor 60 for example) probably the next week as usual if both are ok with this. besides that the next week after I document the masters server and that kind of things, I'll also open another thread here for the people to sing up for the Christmas edition. finally expect the YouTube videos for this match probably around tomorrow in the evening on a thread here as usual.

hope that everybody have had a good time during this UnFreeZe mini-tournament, see you soon
